   Afternoon:The Deer Lake State Park boardwalk over the dunes (reliably, blessedly empty), then lunch at Stinky's Fish Camp.

   Evening:Dinner at The Red Bar, then stars from a dark stretch of 30A.

   Insider Tip:Dawn paddles get glass water and heron company; afternoon wind gets you a workout.

   The Bay & The Rescue

   Morning:A clear-kayak or eco-paddle tour over the seagrass flats, with rays and dolphin cameos likely.

   Afternoon:The Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center, the sea-turtle rescue operation that turns a tourist stop into a conservation one. Then home.
